Shoes For Scholars is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that was established as a commitment to diversity and inclusion with a mission to empower kids with the tools they require to propel themselves towards excellence. Shoes For Scholars collaborates with Title 1 Middle Schools to implement incentive programs aimed at improving students’ performance on tests. Through these programs, students are motivated to excel academically and are rewarded with new shoes.
As of 2022, Nevada was the 49th worst state in the nation for educational attainment. Shoes For Scholars was founded to address the social and economical shortfalls in our state’s educational system, giving it an integral role to play in the success of Nevada’s students.
